Perdue Foods recalled approximately 495 pounds of Simply Smart Organics Chicken Breast Tenders labeled as gluten-free, but they actually contain breaded chicken pieces with wheat—a known allergen not listed on the package. The affected products were produced on August 30, 2019, and sold in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. No confirmed illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat these products if you have a wheat allergy or sensitivity.
- Check your freezer for bags labeled 'Simply Smart Organics CHICKEN BREAST TENDERS GLUTEN FREE' with a best-by date of 08/29/20 and UPC 0-72745-80489-2.
- Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
