Ready-to-eat chicken salads recalled for Salmonella and Listeria contamination in corn ingredient
Don't eat recalled chicken salads from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's
GHSW, LLC recalled approximately 1,786 kilos of ready-to-eat chicken salads sold at Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's because a corn ingredient may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. The affected salads were produced between October 1–18, 2018, and sold in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check if you bought these salads: 365 Whole Foods Market BBQ chicken salad, 365 Whole Foods fajita salad, or Trader Joe's chicken salads with expiration dates between October 18–21, 2018
- Do not eat them
- Throw away the product or return it to the store
- Contact a doctor if you develop diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, or flu-like symptoms within 2 months
