Caito Foods chicken salad products recalled for Salmonella and Listeria contamination
Don't eat Caito Foods chicken salad products
Caito Foods recalled approximately 1,532 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad and container products made with contaminated corn. The affected products were produced between October 6–14, 2018, and sold in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Missouri. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check your refrigerator and freezer for the affected products (look for USDA inspection seal number P-39985)
- Do not eat Santa Fe chicken salads or chipotle chicken containers with "best by" dates between October 11–21, 2018
- Throw away the products or return them to the store where you bought them
- Call your doctor if you develop diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, or flu-like symptoms within 2 months of eating these products
