Dutch Valley veal recalled for E. coli O157:H7 and STEC contamination
Don't eat Dutch Valley veal products
Brown Packing Company is recalling veal products sold under the Dutch Valley brand due to possible contamination with dangerous E. coli bacteria (O157:H7 and non-O157 STEC). The affected products were produced between February 2014 and June 2015 and distributed to stores in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Missouri, New Jersey, and Ohio.
- Check for veal products with establishment number 'EST. 1667' and lot codes between 4000–4313 or 5167–5365.
- Do not eat these products; throw them away or return them to the store.
- Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces that may have touched the recalled veal.
- Seek immediate medical care if you develop diarrhea, bloody stools, or severe abdominal pain within 2–8 days.
