Don't eat Pleasant House Bakery pies

Pleasant House Bakery in Chicago recalled steak and chicken pie products made between January 2014 and August 2015 because they were produced without USDA inspection and lack ingredient labels. The pies contain undeclared allergens: eggs, milk, and wheat. These products were sold to restaurants and retail stores in Chicago and New Buffalo, Michigan.

  • Do not eat Steak & Ale Pie or Chicken Balti Pie from Pleasant House Bakery
  • Return any of these products to the store where you purchased them
  • Call the bakery at (312) 804-5247 if you have questions about whether you have affected products
  • Seek medical attention if you or anyone in your household experiences an allergic reaction after eating these products
