Ocho Rios canned corned beef recalled for lack of U.S. import inspection

Throw out Ocho Rios canned corned beef

Ocho Rios imported approximately 7,228 pounds of canned corned beef from Brazil that was not inspected at the U.S. port of entry, as required by federal law. Without this inspection, there is a potential for food safety issues. The product was imported in August 2015 and distributed to stores in Florida and Georgia.

  • Do not eat the recalled corned beef.
  • Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Check your cans for establishment number Brasil 226 S.I.F., shipping mark BT/7100366 MIAMI, and can codes 16952U, 16951U, 15251U, or 15252U.
  • Call your doctor if you have symptoms of food poisoning.
