Throw out Berkshire Natural Casing Sausage

Ashland Sausage Co. is recalling Berkshire Natural Casing Sausage (12-oz packages, lot code S318) produced November 14, 2019, because the product may contain pieces of hard, dark plastic. A customer found two small pieces of plastic in their package. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Do not eat this sausage if you have it.
  • Check your freezer or refrigerator for 12-oz packages with lot code S318.
  • Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it.
  • Call your doctor if you swallowed plastic or have concerns.
