Ranch Foods Direct meat products recalled for misbranding and unsafe processing

Do not eat Ranch Foods Direct meat products

Good Food Concepts in Colorado Springs recalled approximately 12,566 pounds of bacon, ham, sausage, deli meats, and hot dogs sold under the Ranch Foods Direct brand. The products were made without proper food safety controls and contain sodium nitrite (a preservative) that is not listed on the label.

  • Do not eat any Ranch Foods Direct meat products produced between October 16, 2014 and October 16, 2015
  • Check your freezer and refrigerator for recalled items (bacon, ham, sausages, deli meats, hot dogs, bratwurst, and similar products)
  • Throw away any recalled products or return them to the store where you bought them
  • Contact the store or manufacturer if you have questions about specific product dates
