Piller's Fine Foods salami and prosciutto recalled for potential Salmonella contamination
Don't eat Piller's Fine Foods salami or prosciutto
Piller's Fine Foods is recalling about 1,076 pounds of ready-to-eat salami and prosciutto products that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The affected products were made in September and October 2017 and distributed to stores in California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, and New York. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat Piller's Black Kassel Dry Aged D'Amour Salami or Black Kassel Dry Aged Speck Smoked Prosciutto with a "Best Before" date of May 12, 2018
- Throw away these products or return them to where you bought them
- Check your freezer—some packages may be frozen at home
- Seek medical attention if you develop diarrhea, stomach cramps, or fever within 3 days of eating these products
