Daisy Brand headcheese deli meat recalled for potential Listeria contamination
Throw out Daisy Brand headcheese if purchased before late March
Daisy Brand headcheese products produced on January 20, 2026, may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. These ready-to-eat pork deli meats were distributed to retail delis in Illinois and Indiana. The contamination was discovered during an outbreak investigation that included three illnesses in Illinois.
- Do not eat Daisy Brand headcheese with a USE BY date of MAR 26 2026 and establishment number EST. 21406.
- Throw away any affected product or return it to the store where you bought it.
- Clean your refrigerator thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination.
- If you are pregnant, elderly, or have a weakened immune system and ate this product, contact your doctor if you develop fever, muscle aches, or headache within two months.
