Imported raw veal products recalled for possible E. coli O103 contamination
Do not eat imported raw veal from Netherlands
The USDA found that approximately 424 pounds of raw veal imported from the Netherlands may be contaminated with a dangerous strain of E. coli called STEC O103. The affected products were produced in March 2017 and shipped to restaurants and grocery stores in Florida and Massachusetts. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat raw veal products with case codes Londbos05597422, Londbos05597426, Londbos05597439, or SELEDEL05593535.
- Throw away or return these products to where you bought them.
- Call your doctor if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or decreased urine output within 4 weeks of eating raw veal.
