Raw beef products recalled for possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination

Do not eat recalled raw beef products

Raw non-intact beef products made from imported Canadian beef may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacterium. Affected products include ground beef gyros, hamburger patties, and kufta kabobs distributed across the Northeast. Some products may still be in freezers.

  • Check your freezer for the affected brands: Devanco Foods, Kronos, Ziyad Premium Quality, Shop Rite, or Landis Brand with the case codes or sell-by dates listed in the recall.
  • Do not cook or eat these products—throw them away or return them to the store.
  • If you or family members ate these products and develop severe diarrhea, bloody stool, or other symptoms, contact your doctor and mention possible E. coli exposure.
  • Always cook ground beef to 160°F using a food thermometer to kill harmful bacteria.
