Weikfield Custard Powder Kesar Pista recalled for undeclared pistachio allergen
Weikfield Custard Powder recalled for undeclared pistachio
Weikfield Foods' Custard Powder Kesar Pista (300g) lists an ingredient as "Pista" on the label, but it should be labeled as "Pistachio" using standard U.S. food naming. This mislabeling means the allergen is not clearly declared to consumers. About 192 units (8 cases) were distributed to Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Illinois.
- Check your cupboard for Weikfield Custard Powder Kesar Pista in the 300g poly jar, Lot No. 118.
- If you have a container, do not use it if you or anyone in your household is allergic to tree nuts or pistachios.
- Discard the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
