Adequan Canine and i.m. injections recalled for glass fiber contamination
American Regent, Inc. Animal Health recalled four specific lots of Adequan Canine Injection (for dogs) and Adequan i.m. Injection (for horses) after discovering glass fibers in the products during internal testing. No adverse events have been reported to date.
- If you have one of the recalled lots (Canine: #3369 or #25011; i.m.: #24416 or #25265P), stop using it immediately.
- Contact your veterinarian if your pet has experienced pain, swelling, or infection at an injection site.
- Return unused product to the manufacturer or discard it.
- Call American Regent Customer Service at 800-645-1706 (Mon–Thu 8 AM–6 PM EST, Fri 8 AM–4 PM EST) with questions.
