American Regent is recalling three lots of epinephrine injection (1 mg/mL multi-dose vials) due to leaking and cracked vials, plus contamination with particles including nylon, cellulosic, acrylic, polyethylene, and glass. These particles can block blood vessels, cause blood clots, and damage organs; cracked vials also risk loss of sterility and bacterial contamination. No adverse events have been reported so far.

American Regent, Inc. Animal Health recalled four specific lots of Adequan Canine Injection (for dogs) and Adequan i.m. Injection (for horses) after discovering glass fibers in the products during internal testing. No adverse events have been reported to date.

American Regent identified glass and paraformaldehyde particles in one lot of Papaverine Hydrochloride Injection (Lot #25202), a prescription medication used to improve blood circulation and treat muscle spasms. The particles could cause local irritation, blood vessel blockage, and serious complications including stroke.
