Azuma Foods Tako Wasabi recalled for undeclared fish

Azuma Foods recalled 545 cases of Tako Wasabi seasoned octopus because they may contain undeclared fish. A supplier changed an ingredient from mollusk extract to bonito (a type of fish) without notifying the manufacturer. People with fish allergies could have a serious allergic reaction.

  • Check if you have Azuma Foods Tako Wasabi 3-packs (5.3 oz) with lot numbers 1CFFDA2, 1CFGCH2, 1CFIBC2, 1CFJCG2, 1CFKBH2, or 1CGBAH2 on the bottom of the package.
  • If you have a fish allergy, do not eat this product.
  • Return the product to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
  • Call Azuma Foods at 1-(510) 782-1112 ext. 1 (8:30 AM–5:30 PM PST) with questions.
