Northwest Naturals frozen raw pet food recalled for Salmonella and Listeria risk
What this means
Northwest Naturals has recalled two frozen raw pet food products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products are the Frozen Chicken Recipe (cat food, 2 lb. bags) and Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken Recipe (6 lb. bags) in specific lots. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Stop feeding the recalled products to your pets immediately if you have Lot B-5 (cat food) or Lot B-19 (dog food).
- Return unused product to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling raw pet food or surfaces it touched.
- Contact Northwest Naturals at 1-866-637-1872 (Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Pacific Time) if you have questions.
- Contact your veterinarian if your pet shows lethargy, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, or decreased appetite.
