Toyota side curtain air bag assemblies recalled for improper deployment risk
What this means
Certain replacement side curtain air bag assemblies for 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and CrewMax vehicles may have been improperly rolled during manufacturing. This can cause the air bag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- Contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 or wait for an owner notification letter (expected September 13, 2026).
- Bring your vehicle to a Toyota dealer for a free inspection and replacement of the air bag assembly if needed.
- Reference recall numbers 26TK03 (Tundra Double Cab) or 26TH03 (CrewMax) when contacting the dealer.

Improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the CSA assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 13, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26TK03 and 26TH03.
