Cummins L9 diesel engines recalled for fuel filter hose disconnection and leak risk
What this means
Fuel filter hoses on certain Cummins L9 diesel engines (part number D563027BX03) may separate from their fittings, causing fuel to leak. A fuel leak near an ignition source can lead to fire, and a disconnected hose can also cause the engine to stall, increasing crash risk.
- If you own equipment with a Cummins L9 diesel engine, watch for an owner notification letter expected by November 20, 2026.
- Contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467 or reference recall number C7311 to confirm whether your engine is affected.
- Dealers will replace the fuel hoses at no charge. If your engine was previously repaired under recalls 23E055, 24E038, or 25E004, new redesigned parts will be installed.
