Cummins Meritor drivelines recalled for possible separation risk
Cummins, Inc. is recalling certain Meritor drivelines, model numbers RPL10, RPL14, RPL20, RPL25, RPL35 and 176MXL, that may be missing a snap ring in the slip yoke assembly. This could allow the bearing cup to separate from the driveline, which can cause a loss of drive power and detached components that become a road hazard for other vehicles.

What to do
- Contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467 about this recall, which is Cummins number AFT26001.
- Dealers will inspect the driveline and replace it as necessary, free of charge.
- Check for model numbers RPL10, RPL14, RPL20, RPL25, RPL35 or 176MXL on the affected drivelines.
- Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 20, 2026.
