Ford 2026 Explorer recalled for engine rod bearing failure risk
What this means
Certain 2026 Ford Explorer vehicles with a 2.3L engine may have connecting rod bearings that can seize and cause engine failure. This can result in a loss of driving power and increase crash risk. In some cases, bearing failure may also breach the engine block, allowing oil to leak and increasing fire risk.
- Check if your vehicle is affected by searching your VIN on NHTSA.gov.

- Do not drive the vehicle if you experience signs of engine trouble, such as loss of power or unusual noises.
