E-One fire trucks recalled for hydraulic valve failure affecting outriggers
What this means
Certain 2025–2026 E-One Cyclone and Typhoon fire trucks may have a hydraulic valve that fails, preventing the outriggers from extending or retracting. Outriggers stabilize the truck during emergency operations; if they cannot move, response time and crew safety may be compromised.
- Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) against the NHTSA recall list to confirm whether your truck is affected.
- Contact E-One customer service at 1-352-237-1122 to confirm your truck's status and schedule service.
- Replacement hydraulic valves will be provided free of charge; installation should occur before the truck returns to active duty.
The agency's original wording
The inability to extend or retract the outriggers can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.
E-ONE will provide new hydraulic valves, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 18, 2026. Owners may contact E-One customer service at 1-352-237-1122.
