Altec Industries service body vehicles recalled for strobe light short circuit fire risk
What this means
Water can leak into the strobe lights on certain 2021–2023 Altec service body vehicles, causing an electrical short circuit. This short circuit can increase the risk of fire.
- Check your vehicle identification number against the recall list at NHTSA.gov or contact Altec customer service at 1‑877‑462‑5832.
- Once notified by Altec, inspect the strobe light assembly for moisture.
- If moisture is found or the light doesn't work, Altec will replace the light assembly and fuse at no cost.

An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Altec will provide instructions to inspect the light assembly for moisture and install a new fuse. If moisture is found or the light is inoperative, a light replacement kit will be installed, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 23, 2026. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3360. This recall is an expansion of previous NHTSA recall number 23V357.
