What this means
Certain 2026 Ford Bronco vehicles have a mounting bracket on the right-hand side curtain air bag with a metal burr that can tear the air bag during deployment. A torn air bag may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing injury risk.
- Check if your 2026 Bronco is affected by searching your VIN on NHTSA.gov.
- Watch for a notification letter from Ford (expected September 15, 2026).
- Once remedy is available (anticipated October 2026), contact your Ford dealer to have the bracket spacing adjusted at no cost.
- For questions, call Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall number 26S64).
