Grand Design Reflection fifth wheel trailers recalled for solar controller voltage selection fault
What this means
Certain 2024–2027 Grand Design Reflection fifth wheel trailers have a solar controller that may incorrectly select 24-volt output when the electrical system is designed for 12 volts. This incorrect voltage can damage the power center and electrical circuits, increasing the risk of fire and causing trailer brakes or exterior lights to fail.
- Check your owner notification letter or contact Grand Design at 1-574-825-9679 to confirm whether your trailer is affected.
- An over-the-air software update will be provided at no cost to fix the solar controller.
- Lighting will be inspected and repaired free of charge if damage is found.
The agency's original wording
While damage to the power center increases the risk of a fire, damage to the electrical system may cause the trailer brakes or exterior lightings to fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
An over-the-air (OTA) software update will be released. Lighting will be inspected and repaired as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910068.
