Altec Industries Digger Derrick and TA Series vehicles recalled for boom stow wiring defect

What this means

Certain 2021–2026 Altec Digger Derrick and 2023–2025 Altec TA Series vehicles have improper wiring in the power distribution module. This wiring defect can prevent the boom stow auto-neutral system from working, which means the truck may be driven with the boom still raised and unsecured.

  • Stop operating the vehicle with the boom elevated.
  • Contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 to schedule the free wiring correction.
  • Expect an owner notification letter by November 20, 2026.
