Altec Industries aerial devices recalled for platform access step separation hazard

Altec aerial devices and digger derricks sold between 2020 and 2026 may have a platform access step with improper welds. The step could separate or become unstable during use, creating a fall or injury risk.

  • Check if you own an affected 2020–2026 AA, AN, or AM Series Aerial Device, 2023–2026 Digger Derrick, or 2024–2025 A-Class vehicle.
  • Watch for an owner notification letter (expected November 27, 2026).
  • Contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 to arrange a free step replacement.

A step that separates or becomes unstable while in use, increases the risk of a fall or injury.

Remedy

Altec will replace the steps, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3374.
