Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Maybach recalled for front brake hose rupture risk
What this means
Certain 2022–2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Maybach models may have front brake hoses that can rupture and leak brake fluid. A brake fluid leak increases stopping distance and raises the risk of a crash.
- Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov to see if your vehicle is affected.
- Contact Mercedes-Benz customer service at 1-800-367-6372 to confirm your recall status.
- Bring your vehicle to a dealer for a free replacement of the front brake hoses when notified.
The agency's original wording
A brake fluid leak can extend the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the front brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V116. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 9, 2026.
