Forest River Surveyor recreational trailers recalled for exterior outlet lacking GFCI protection
What this means
Certain 2027 Forest River Surveyor recreational trailers have an exterior electrical outlet that is not wired to a GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) circuit. Without GFCI protection, the outlet may fail to shut off power during an electrical ground fault, creating a shock hazard.
- Contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119 or reference recall number 37-2103 to schedule a free repair.
- Dealers will rewire the exterior outlet to add proper GFCI protection at no cost to you.
- Avoid using the exterior outlet until it has been repaired.
The agency's original wording
An outlet without GFCI protection may fail to shut off electrical power when a ground-fault occurs, increasing the risk of injury.
Dealers will rewire the exterior outlet, free of charge. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-3119. Forest River's number for this recall is 37-2103.
