Forest River RVs and trailers recalled for possible fire risk

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2027 Cedar Creek, 2023-2027 FR3, 2023-2026 Palomino, 2024 Cardinal, Wildcat, Shasta Oasis, 2024-2026 Forest River Hardside, Palomino Real-Lite Camper, 2026 Puma Tracks, and Puma recreational vehicles and trailers with certain power seating assemblies. The power cord fuse may not provide adequate circuit protection. In a short circuit, this may increase the risk of a fire.

What to do

  1. Take your vehicle to a Forest River dealer to have the power cord inspected and replaced free of charge.
  2. Check whether your vehicle is a listed model year and has a certain power seating assembly.
  3. Watch for owner notification letters, expected to be mailed December 21, 2026.
  4. Call Forest River customer service at 1-574-535-2748 and give recall number 51-2109.

Description
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022-2027 Cedar Creek, 2023-2027 FR3, 2023-2026 Palomino, 2024 Cardinal, Wildcat, Shasta Oasis, 2024-2026 Forest River Hardside, Palomino Real-Lite Camper, 2026 Puma Tracks, and Puma recreational vehicles and trailers, equipped with certain power seating assemblies. The power cord fuse may not provide adequate circuit protection. In the event of a short circuit, inadequate protection increases the risk of a fire.
Hazard
In the event of a short circuit, inadequate protection increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the power cord, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 21, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-535-2748. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-2109.
