Prevost buses recalled for missing emergency exit label

What this means

Certain Prevost buses are missing the emergency exit operating instruction label on the entrance door. This label is required by federal safety standards and helps passengers evacuate safely in an emergency.

If you own or operate a Prevost bus, contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046 (recall SR26-19).
Prevost will replace the missing label at no cost. Owner notification letters will be mailed December 7, 2026.

Hazard

Missing instructions may prevent or delay passengers from evacuating the bus during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Prevost will replace the emergency exit label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. Owners may contact Prevost's customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR26-19.
