Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks recalled for fuel filter hose disconnection risk
What this means
Certain 2022–2027 Kenworth and 2023–2027 Peterbilt trucks have fuel filter hoses that may separate from their fittings. This can cause fuel to leak and the engine to stall, increasing the risk of fire or crash.
- Check your owner notification letter (mailing began December 20, 2026).
- Contact your dealer to schedule a free hose replacement.
- For Peterbilt, call 1-940-591-4220; for Kenworth, call 1-425-828-5888.
- Do not drive the vehicle if you notice fuel smell or performance issues.
The agency's original wording
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuel hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be mailed beginning December 20, 2026. Owners may contact Peterbilt's customer service at 1-940-591-4220 or Kenworth's customer service at 1-425-828-5888. PACCAR's number for this recall is 26PACJ.
