McCain Foods USA potato and bacon fritters recalled for plastic and wood contamination
Don't eat McCain EARLY RISERS fritters
McCain Foods USA is recalling approximately 25,215 pounds of frozen potato, egg, cheese, and bacon fritters that may contain pieces of plastic and wood. The affected products were produced on November 11 and distributed to food suppliers across 12 states. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat these fritters if you have them at home
- Check for batch code 1001487402 and establishment number EST. 18846 on the package
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. ET) if you have questions
