Agri Star beef pastrami recalled for incomplete curing due to processing defect

Do not eat Agri Star beef pastrami products

Agri Star Meat and Poultry LLC is recalling about 3,592 pounds of ready-to-eat beef pastrami products (Aaron's BEST and SHOR HABOR brands) produced in April 2018. A processing error may have resulted in incomplete curing. The company discovered the issue on June 20, 2018, when a consumer reported product discoloration. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat these products if you have them.
  • Throw away the pastrami or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Look for "EST. 4653A" inside the USDA inspection mark on the box.
  • Contact your doctor if you have symptoms of foodborne illness (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain).
