Polana pierogi recalled for undeclared allergens (wheat, soy, eggs, milk)
Check your Polana pierogi for allergens
Kasia's Deli Inc. recalled about 2,059 pounds of Polana brand pierogi (beef, potato and bacon, and chicken varieties) because the labels do not list wheat, soy, eggs, and milk—allergens that are actually in the product. The recall affects pierogi with lot numbers #4262 and lower, produced before September 19, 2014. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Check your pierogi package for product codes 608, 108, 630, 130, or 126, and lot numbers #4262 or lower
- Look for establishment number "EST. 33985" or "P-33985" on the USDA inspection seal
- Do not eat the recalled pierogi if you or anyone in your home is allergic to wheat, soy, eggs, or milk
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it
- Contact your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction after eating this product
