Missa Bay salad products recalled for E. coli O157:H7 contamination
Throw out Missa Bay salad products
Missa Bay, LLC recalled approximately 75,233 pounds of salad products containing meat or poultry produced October 14–16, 2019, because the lettuce ingredient may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The contamination was discovered during an outbreak investigation in Maryland. The products were distributed across 22 states.
- Do not eat these salad products, even if past their expiration date.
- Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
- If you or a family member develop severe diarrhea, bloody stools, vomiting, or signs of kidney problems (bruising, pale skin, decreased urination), seek emergency medical care.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET) with questions.
