Meat and poultry products recalled for Salmonella in jalapeños

The USDA found that multiple meat and poultry products contain jalapeños contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The contaminated jalapeños came from an FDA-regulated supplier. No illnesses have been reported yet, but the products are being recalled out of caution.

  • Check the USDA FSIS website for the complete list of affected products, including brand names and product descriptions.
  • Do not eat these products if you have purchased them.
  • Throw away affected products or return them to the store where you bought them.
  • Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 if you have questions.
