Branch ergonomic chairs recalled for detachable backrest fall hazard

FALLNationwide distributionConsumer goodsFurniture

What this means

The backrests on certain Branch height-adjustable ergonomic chairs can detach due to incorrectly installed anchors at the factory. This poses a fall hazard. The chairs were made between September 10, 2025 and April 22, 2026. Branch has received 11 reports of backrest detachment but no injuries so far.

  • Check the manufacture date on the label under your chair's seat cushion to see if it falls between September 10, 2025 and April 22, 2026.
  • Contact Branch for a free repair kit with a replacement backrest, bolts, and an Allen key.
  • Branch may ask you to submit photos of your manufacture label and the removed backrest to verify eligibility.
  • Stop using the chair if you believe your backrest is affected.
