GE ApexPro telemetry server recalled for monitoring loss risk
GE HealthCare ApexPro v6.0 eDelivery Software and CARESCAPE Telemetry Server v5.0 and v6.0 may stop displaying heart rhythm (ECG) and blood oxygen (SpO2) readings during a network communication loss at the central monitoring station. This could leave hospital staff temporarily unable to see patient vital signs.
- Check if your facility has an affected system using the listed serial numbers
- Contact GE HealthCare for updated software or corrective instructions
- Ensure backup monitoring procedures are in place during network outages
- Install any available firmware or software patches from GE HealthCare
GE HealthCare has become aware of an unlikely situation where potential loss of ECG and SpO2 monitoring involving ApexPro CARESCAPE Telemetry Server (CTS) v5.0 and v6.0, can result from a persistent NO COMM or OFF NETWORK condition at the CARESCAPE Central Station or CIC Pro Clinical Information Center (Central Station).
