K.C. Pharmaceuticals eye drops recalled for lack of assured sterility

K.C. Pharmaceuticals has recalled multiple brands of sterile eye drops (including Best Choice, Quality Choice, Discount Drug Mart, Good Sense, Walgreens, CareOne, Equaline, TopCare, Meijer, and H.E.B.) because the manufacturer cannot guarantee the products are sterile. Non-sterile eye drops can introduce infection into the eye. The affected products were distributed nationwide and have lot number AC24E01 with expiration date 05/31/26.

What to do

  1. Check your eye drops for the lot number AC24E01 and expiration date 05/31/26
  2. Stop using affected eye drops immediately
  3. Discard the product or return it to the store where you purchased it
  4. Contact your doctor if you have used these eye drops and experience eye pain, redness, or vision changes

K.C. Pharmaceuticals is recalling eight sterile eye drop products because the company cannot confirm they are sterile. The drops were sold under store and pharmacy brands including Best Choice, Walgreens, GERI CARE, LEADER, Good Sense, Industrial Eye Relief and Rugby. No injuries have been reported.
