Rugby, Walgreens eye drops recalled for lack of sterility assurance
K.C. Pharmaceuticals issued a recall of Rugby Lubricating Eye Drops and Walgreens Lubricant Eye Drops because the manufacturer cannot guarantee the products are sterile. Non-sterile eye drops can introduce bacteria or other microorganisms into the eye. The recall affects specific lots (SY24K01 and SY24K02) with expiration dates of 09/30/26.

What to do
- Check if you have Rugby (NDC 0536-1219-94) or Walgreens eye drops with lot numbers SY24K01 or SY24K02 expiring 09/30/26
- Stop using the product immediately
- Dispose of the bottle safely
- Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have used these drops and experience eye redness, pain, or discharge

K.C. Pharmaceuticals is recalling eight sterile eye drop products because the company cannot confirm they are sterile. The drops were sold under store and pharmacy brands including Best Choice, Walgreens, GERI CARE, LEADER, Good Sense, Industrial Eye Relief and Rugby. No injuries have been reported.
