Trader Joe's and Frederik's focaccia recalled for metal fragments

Bakkavor Foods discovered metal fragments in roasted tomato parmesan focaccia bread sold under multiple brand names, including Frederik's by Meijer, Fresh & Simple, HT Traders, and Trader Joe's. The metal came from roasted tomatoes supplied by an ingredient vendor. No injuries have been reported.

Frederik's by Meijer focaccia, pizza recalled for metal fragments

Bakkavor recalled two bread products, Frederik's by Meijer Slow-Roasted Tomato & Shredded Parmesan focaccia and a Basil Pesto & Mozzarella pizza, because they may contain metal fragments. The company traced the problem to roasted tomatoes from one of its ingredient suppliers. The products were shipped to stores in AZ, CA, CT, FL, IL, MI, NC, NJ, TX and VA, and no injuries have been reported.
