Prime Food Processing dried herring fish (7 oz.) was not properly cleaned before drying, which can allow Clostridium botulinum bacteria to grow. This bacterium produces a toxin that causes botulism, a serious foodborne illness. The affected product has lot code 26020 with expiration date 06.12.28.

  • Check your home for Prime Food Processing dried herring with lot code 26020 and expiration date 06.12.28.
  • Do not eat the product.
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Contact your doctor if you ate this product and develop muscle weakness, blurred vision, difficulty swallowing, or difficulty breathing.
