Simple Truth cage-free eggs recalled for possible Salmonella Enteritidis
What this means
Certain packages of Simple Truth brand cage-free eggs and Grade A bulk eggs may contain Salmonella Enteritidis. The affected eggs were distributed to stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas between July 20 and August 17, 2026.
- Check your eggs for the code P-1950 or 0840962 on the carton with a Julian date between 157 and 184 (Best By/Sell By date July 20–August 17, 2026).
- Do not eat, cook, or serve affected eggs.
- Discard recalled eggs or return them to the store where you bought them.
- Cook eggs thoroughly until both whites and yolks are firm if you are unsure whether your eggs are affected.
