Clover Hill Dairy ricotta cheese recalled for Listeria risk
Clover Hill Dairy is recalling all soft ricotta and requeson cheese produced between May 4 and May 30, 2026, because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Eight cases of Listeria infection have been linked to the recalled cheese. Listeria can cause serious infections, especially in young children, pregnant women, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.
- Check if you have Clover Hill Dairy soft ricotta or requeson cheese purchased between May 4–30, 2026 in NC, NY, VA, MD, NJ, or Washington, DC.
- Look for plant number 24-128 on the label of clamshell containers (10, 12, or 14 oz).
- If bulk cheese was repackaged, check for brand names KESSO, QUESOS LA RICURA, IZALCO, DE MI PUEBLO, or RIO LINDO.
- Return recalled cheese in its original packaging to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
