Mack Trucks marker lights recalled for illumination failure
Certain Mack Trucks Grote replacement marker lights (part number 78513681) may fail to illuminate. When marker lights don't work, other drivers have a harder time seeing the truck, which increases crash risk.
- Contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 or reference recall SC0499 to confirm if your truck is affected.
- Take your truck to a Mack dealer for a free replacement of the center roof marker light.
- Look for an owner notification letter in the mail starting October 11, 2026.

Marker lights that fail to illuminate can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the center roof marker light, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 11, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0499.
