Mack Trucks Anthem and Pioneer recalled for detaching intake and grille bezels
What this means
The intake and grille bezels on certain 2026–2027 Mack Anthem AN and 2025–2027 Pioneer PR vehicles may come loose and detach. A loose bezel can fall onto the road and create a hazard for other drivers.
- Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov starting October 8, 2026, to see if your truck is affected.
- Contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 or wait for an owner notification letter (expected by November 30, 2026).
- Have your dealer inspect and replace the bezels and install cable ties—this repair is free of charge.

A detached bezel can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect, replace the intake and grille bezels, and install cable ties as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0501. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 8, 2026.
