Nova Bus Casco engine coolant sensor recalled for unexpected engine shut down risk
What this means
A defective coolant level sensor in certain Nova Bus vehicles may send a false signal and cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly while driving. This can increase the risk of a crash and cause injury to passengers during emergency transfer from the disabled bus.
- Contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682 or wait for the owner notification letter expected November 2, 2026.
- Have the defective coolant sensor (part number N108036) replaced free of charge by Nova Bus.

An unexpected engine shut down can increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, transferring passengers from the disabled bus can increase the risk of injury.
Nova Bus will reimburse the owners for the replacement of the sensor, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 2, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus's number for this recall is ER5937. This recall expands 25E012.
