Nova Bus 2024–2025 LFS transit buses recalled for parking brake unintentional activation risk
What this means
Certain 2024–2025 Nova Bus LFS transit buses may have a loose air line connection at the emergency brake valve. This can cause the parking brake to activate suddenly without warning, causing the bus to slow or stop without the brake lights turning on, which increases the risk of a crash.
- Check your owner notification letter (expected to arrive November 21, 2026) or contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682.
- Do not operate the bus until the air line connections have been inspected and tightened.
- Nova Bus will perform the inspection and repair free of charge.
