Honda CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and CR-V Fuel Cell recalled for tire repair kit bottle cap detachment risk

What this means

Certain 2023–2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell vehicles have a tire repair kit where pressure can build inside the sealant bottle and cause the cap to detach. A loose cap can become a projectile and hit the user or bystanders.

  • Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) on NHTSA.gov starting October 17, 2026, to see if your vehicle is affected.
  • If your vehicle is listed, wait for a notification letter from Honda (expected November 16, 2026).
  • Contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870 to schedule a free dealer inspection and replacement of the tire repair kit nozzle.
  • If your vehicle was already repaired under recall 26V366, you will still need the new remedy completed.
